Intex Launches Aqua Y2+ With 4" WVGA Display, Android 4.4 KitKat

Intex Aqua Y2 Plus

Intex on Thursday launched a new smartphone in India dubbed as Aqua Y2+. The phone is listed on the firm webpage carrying a price tag of Rs 5,190 ($83 USD) while availability for the device is yet to be announced.

The Aqua Y2+ is Aqua Y2 successor but low in specifications when compare and an upgraded version of Aqua Y2 Pro. It features a 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with no words on Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

The smartphone offers dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality and packs a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor clocked at 1.2GHz alongside with 512MB of RAM. At the rear, the device sports a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and houses a 1.3-megapixel camera at the front for video calling.

The Intex Aqua Y2+ comes with a 4GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card and offers Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio as connectivity options. It is fuelled by a 1500mAh battery that can deliver up to 150 hours of standby time.
