Gionee To Reclaim World's Thinnest Phone Title At MWC Next Month: Report

There is war currently going on in China, not from the military or civilians as you might first think but from Chinese top smartphone makers Gionee, Vivo, and Oppo ofcourse. The battle is not about politics or human right, it is about who has the will enough to wield the thinnest phone and holds its ground not for a month or year but for lifetime. It all started back in early 2014 when Gionee breakforth and exceed its rival with Elife S5.5 with 5.5mm thickness which was closely followed by Elife S5.1 with 0.4mm cut off but the joy doesn't last long. Oppo strike back by launching R5 that sports a body thickness of 4.80mm and since then the real battle line was drawn as this firms aim to be on top spot when it comes to world's thinnest phone title.

In late last year, an unexpected event happened. Vivo, whose name is not recognise beyond China sea avange Gionee and snapped the world's thinnest title from Oppo, however, it doesn't ends there. Earlier this month, Coolpad joins the competition with the launch of Ivvi K1 Mini that comes with a 4.7mm slim body. But now, Gionee is here to claim back its former glory in the upcoming MWC event that will take place in Barcelonia next month and this time they really mean it. According to the source we've gather this report, the next flagship dubbed as Elife S7 will be only 4.6mm thick (check above picture) and will runs latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. Specifications still remains heavily guided but we believe more will be outed very soon.
