Asus on Wednesday has launched its first Android 5.0 Lollipop powered tablet under its FonePad series, the FonePad 7 (FE375CL). The device was listed on the firm official webpage without pricing and availability, however, as reported the tablet will first kick off in taiwan next month at a suggestion price of $250 USD. Availability for global market is not known.

The FonePad 7 (FE375CL) is the third in FonePad 7 series, the second was debuted last month with model number FE171CG which runs Android 4.4 KitKat. The tablet support SIM card with voice calling functionality and offers 4G LTE. It features a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels and packs a 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3530 processor topped with 2GB of RAM.

The Asus FonePad 7 (FE375CL) sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera capable of recording full-HD (1080p) videos while it also houses a 2-megapixel camera at the front with HD (720p) video recording capability. The tablet comes in two storage variants depending on region, 8GB and 16GB, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via MicroSD card.

On the connectivity front, the new Asus tablet support Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, and Micro-USB. Users are also given free 5GB Asus Cloud storage with every purchase. G-sensor, Proximity, Compass, Ambient Light, and Hall sensors are also onboard as well. It is backed by a 15Wh Li-polymer battery

The Asus FonePad 7 (FE375CL) will be available in two different colours, Black and White.
