Samsung is expanding its Galaxy series to another greatness if what we perceive is true which we believe it is. The firm as added a new J series to it Galaxy lines named as Galaxy J1 with model number SM-J100, detailed specifications of the new smartphone has been revealed by geeks at SanMobile while launching date can't be predict as of now but we are looking forward to CES which will begin in January.

According to the specs listed, the Samsung Galaxy J1 (SM-J100) will features a 4.3-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) LCD display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, this looks disappointing, we expect atleast Android 5.0.0 Lollipop onboard but the firm may provide an upgrade, we just have to wait and see.

Revealing further, the smartphone will be powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Marcell PXA1908 processor topped with 1GB of RAM. It is expected to packs a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash at the rear and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Built-in storage was not mentioned but we expect nothing less than 8GB to be there, it will be backed by a 1850mAh battery.

Pricing will be the key determinant to its success, the competition is getting high as new smartphones are being launch everyday. If Micromax can offer octa-core Snapdragon powered Yu Yureka with 2GB RAM and 13-megapixel rear camera at $145 then this smartphone shouldn't cost more than $100, just saying.
