Lava on Tuesday launched a low budget Android smartphone in India, the Iris Selfie 50. The phone is listed on the firm website at Rs 7,999 (approximately $130 US Dollars, NGN 22,000) without availability details. The highlight of the device is its high-res 5-megapixel selfie front camera with autofocus and LED flash.

According to the listing, the Iris Selfie 50 features a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution. It support dual SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The smartphone packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, slammed with 1GB of RAM.

On the rear is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with BSI II sensor and twin LED flash, there's 8GB internal storage onboard that is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

On the connectivity front, the Lava Iris Selfie 50 support Wifi with Hotspot, 3G, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2,400mAh battery.

Last week, the firm launched the Iris 500, the phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
