Asus Zenfone 5 (Q502CG)

Asus has added a new variant to its Zenfone 5 models in Philippines, Zenfone 5 (A502CG). The smartphone features almost same specifications when compare with Zenfone 5 (A501CG) that was released in July along with Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 6, except it comes with a lower resolution, lower processor and RAM, an improved but low-res front camera and an improved battery capacity. However, the listing doesn't reveal its pricing and availability.

The Asus Zenfone 5 (A502CG) dubbed as Zenfone 5 Lite features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 540*960 pixels. It support dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading, clocked at 1.2GHz along with 1GB of RAM.

At the rear, the device sports an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash while it host a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front. There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard that is expandable via MicroSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, GPS and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2,500mAh battery.

The Zenfone 5 Lite will be available in three colour variants - Cherry Red, Charcoal Black, and Pearl White.

Last week, the firm launched a 10.1-inch Android tablet in India dubbed Transformer Pad TF103. The tablet packs a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
