Earlier this month, Samsung added a new sequel to its "Galaxy Grand" series in India, the Galaxy Grand Prime. However, a new Galaxy series has been spotted listed on India's most popular online retailer store FlipKart. The Galaxy Core Prime (SM-G360HZW) has it is called is listed at Rs 8,499 (approximately $138) without availability details.

According to TENAA, dual-SIM and 4G LTE variants (SM-G3606, G3608, and G3609) of the Galaxy Core Prime are likely to take off in coming weeks. The smartphone features a 4.5-inch PLS LCD display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It is driven by a quad-core processor (unknown chipset) with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, along with 1GB of RAM.

It sports a 5-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There's 8GB internal storage onboard which can be expanded up to 64GB via MicroSD card.

On the connectivity side, the Galaxy Core Prime features Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, and GPRS/EDGE. It packs a 2,000mAh battery.
