Lava has launched a new mid-end Android smartphone in India, the Iris Fuel 50. The phone is priced at Rs 7,799 (approximately $130 US Dollars, NGN 21,100 Nigerians Nairas) and currently available for purchase.

Specifications:

The Lava Iris Fuel 50 features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels, protected by Dragon-trail glass. It offers dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

The smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor (unknown chipset), clocked at 1.3GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM. There's is 8GB built-in storage onboard that can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD.

The Iris Fuel 50 touts an 8-megapixel rear shooter and also houses a 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity option include Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and Micro-USB. It packs a massive 3,000mAh battery which according to the firm can last up to 13-hours of talk time on 3G.

The firm on Tuesday launched a 7-inch Android tablet, the QPad R704 at $140. The device packs quad-core Snapdragon processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
