Intex Launches Aqua T2, Tagged As World's Cheapest Android KitKat Phone

Intex Aqua T2

Intex has launch a new low end Android 4.4 KitKat running smartphone in India, the Aqua T2. The phone which is tagged as the "cheapest" KitKat-based smartphone is priced at Rs 2,699 (approximately $45) and will be exclusively available on Flipkart.

The Aqua T2 features a 3.5-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 320x480 pixels. It offers dual SIM functionality and comes with 512MB of built-in storage which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD.

The smartphone is powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT6571 processor, clocked at 1.3GHz alongside with 256MB of RAM. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a secondary VGA front camera for video chat. Connectivity options included with the device are Wifi, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It is backed by 1200mAh Li-ion battery.

The Intex Aqua T2 will be available in two colour variants - Gray and Black.

Last week, Intex launched Aqua 4X in India which runs Android 4.2 Jelly bean at Rs 2,999 (approx $50).
