Blackberry Launches Its Passport Smartphone In The UK, Porsche P'9983 Goes On Sale

Blackberry Passport 2014

The Canadian phone maker Blackberry has officially launch its long awaiting square-screened Passport smartphone on Wednesday. The phone which tout a 1:1 aspect ratio is available for purchase starting from today in the UK.

The Passport comes with Blackberry's new Assistant, which is the highlight of the device, and houses a physical QWERTY keyboard for faster typing and response.

The new Blackberry Passport features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440x1440 pixels and brilliant 453ppi pixel density. The smartphone runs latest Blackberry 10 OS version 10.3, and sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation and LED flash.

It is powered by a quad-core processor, clocked at 2.2GHz alongside with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB built-in storage onboard with external storage support.

The Passport packs a 3450mAh battery, which according to the firm can last up to 30 hours on normal usage.

Blackberry also launched its third series Porsche design P'9983, the phone which was first unveiled at an event in Dubai last week can now be purchase in the UK at £1400.
