Sony Xperia M2 Aqua

Sony has unveiled a new mid-end budget smartphone on Tuesday, the Xperia M2 Aqua. The phone is not so different in specs when compared with the Xperia M2 which was launched at MWC earlier this year, the only difference is that the Xperia M2 Aqua is waterproof, capable to withstand up to 1 meter deep when immerse in water and its certify with IP6S/68 rating, which is found on Xperia Z. Pricing and availability details is not yet announced.

The Xperia M2 Aqua features a 4.8-inch display with qHD resolution of 540x960 pixels, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, alongside with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB built-in storage onboard which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD.

The Xperia M2 Aqua sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a VGA front camera. Connectivity options included with the new Sony device are Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, GPS, 4G LTE, and NFC. It is backed by a 2300mAh battery.
