After the launch of its Q900s Android smartphone, Xolo has launched a new smartphone again India and this time its not an Android base phone. The Xolo Win Q900s as it is being called was launch yesterday. The smartphone runs Windows Phone 8.1, which makes it the first phone by the company to run Windows Phone OS. The device is currently listed on the company's website at a price tag of Rs 11,999 (approx $200) but can be purchased as low as Rs 10,999 (approx $183) via Snapdeal.

The Win Q900s features a 5-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels, its screen is protected by Dragon Tail Glass. The smartphone offers dual SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality and runs Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box.

The new Win Q900s by Xolo is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM 8212) processor, slammed with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, WiFi with Hotspot, 3G, GPS, and Micro-USB. It packed an 1800mAh Li-ion battery at its rear, which is rated to deliver up to 246 hours of standby time.

Xolo claims that the Win Q900s is the lightest Windows Phone available, it weigh just 100 grams.

If you remember, last month Micromax unveiled its first Windows Phone 8.1 running smartphones, the Canvas W121 and Canvas W092, which is the company's first phones to runs Windows Phone OS.
