HP Android Running Slatebook With 1.8GHz Quad Core Processor And 14-inch Display Announced

There have been rumours that HP is planning to launch its first Android powered laptop, the Slatebook 14. A french company named Archos are the first to launch an Android powered laptop, the Archos Arcbook at early last month.

HP has now officially announced the HP Slatebook 14 and it is currently listed on their website. The HP Android-powered Slatebook features a 14-inch BrightView display with a screen resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. The newly announced Android running laptop is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, coupled with 2GB of DDR3L RAM. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS  with Google play on top.

The device will be available in three storage variants, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Connectivity options included are USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI port, Headphone jack, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth. The Slatebook also sport a front-facing camera.

The laptop will be available starting from 6th of August at $399.
