Will Apple iWatch Be Unveiled At WWDC In June?

iWatch Concept
Elusive Apple wearable smartwatch is rumoured to finally make appearance. However, despite such an unveiling, it's almost certain that the iWatch won't be on sale until at least September to co-incide with the launch of the Apple iPhone 6.

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference is scheduled to start on the 2nd of June. In the past, the company has used the event to introduce major products, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and the Mac Pro as well as the latest versions of iOS and OS X. Taking the wraps off the iBand/iWatch would be unexpected from Apple, a company known for holding off any information about a new project until it is ready to go on sale.

Recent hints from Nike suggest that development is under way and Cupertino could decide to use WWDC as a testing ground for potential developers who can create bespoke apps or port existing ones to the device. Those three months between announcing a smartwatch and actually shipping it would be plenty of time for Apple’s development partners to learn about the device’s ability before it launches.

But, with Apple unlikely to reveal any details about the iPhone 6 before a launch event in September, taking the wraps off an iWatch (iBand) now could lessen the impact later in the year. We will continue to bring you the very latest news on Apple's new creations. Watch out.
