OnePlus One With Snapdragon 801 and CyanogenMod 11S Launched

OnePlus has launched its first Android smartphone, the One, with some staggering specifications at a rather low price. The Chinese startup has announced that OnePlus will be available at a starting price of $299 (unlocked and without contract) for the 16GB model and the 64GB variant will be available at $349.

The One will be launched in Q2 and will be initially available in Taiwan, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Denmark, Canada, Belgium, Austria, U.K and U.S. The smartphone will be comes in two colours, Sandstone Black and Silk White colour. The newest feature being touted on the OnePlus One is CyanogenMod 11S it runs out-of-the-box, with the 'S' signifying the customization for the One smartphone. Notably, CyanogenMod 11S is based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

It features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a full-HD resolution of 1080x1920 and a pixel density of 401ppi. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz alongside with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with IMX214 sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera.

Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC. It is backed by a 3100mAh Li-ion non-removable battery.
