Lenovo ThinkPad X1

The ThinkPad series of laptops from Lenovo have indeed made their name and this time around, Lenovo has come up with the all new Lenovo ThinkPad X1. Well, before we begin, let me tell you that the ThinkPad X1 is the thinnest ThinkPad around measuring just 0.65 inches at its thinnest point. This definitely takes the ThinkPad series to a whole new level as the masses were always vocal about the design of the series in general. However once we delve deep into the same you would realise that it has got more to it and is one of the best ThinkPad’s that has ever hit the stores.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 includes Intel Core i5-2520M dual-core processor, Windows 7 Professional Operating System, 13.3-inch HD screen, 1366 x 768 resolution, LED Backlit Display, Gorilla Glass, Intel Integrated HD 3000 Graphics, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB HDD, Bluetooth, 720p High Definition webcam, Fingerprint reader, 3 year warranty, Integrated 6-cell battery and even an optional slice battery. Hence, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 has got all the features which the common masses can hope for. Rather, they have put together a lot extra in the ThinkPad X1. The device has dimensions of about 13.26 x 9.1 x 0.84 inches and weighs a mere 3.75 lbs.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is a perfect blend of good looks and killer performance. The look and feel of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is not that different from the other laptops from the X series of Lenovo and it definitely feels like a premium quality laptop. It does have a rigid body and a clean look to impress the masses. Apart from the features that are mentioned above, there are plenty of other things that the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 comes loaded with. This includes a 20V AC port, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0-eSATA combo, HDMI port, Display Port and a covered SIM card slot for 3G connections. The key allignment and the concave shapes of the same are a big boon and are perfect for typing for long hours.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 has many thinks to boast of, but they have messed a few things. It should be noted that Lenovo have done away with the old matte screen finish and instead have opted for a more reflective one. The surface easily catches fingerprints and thus you should be watchful about the same. The X1 has Dolby speakers which belt out nice audio, far above anything that you might have imagined.

However the battery life is a little bit of concern as it does not last more than 5.2 hours if you work with the laptop continuously. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 does not include any negative as such and thus laying hands upon this feature rich laptop makes sense. If you are comfortable with the price of the same then there is no reason whatsoever to hold yourself back.
